The owners Maryland roots go back 300 years.
In 1971, during summer vacation, the professional cooking career of George Bushwaller began in Ocean City, Maryland, when he made his first crab cakes. Five subsequent seasons of Eastern Shore cooking and recipe perfecting influenced the future direction of his endeavors.
1981 brought the opening of Bushwaller’s Seafood Saloon in Frederick, Maryland. The restaurant remains today, under new ownership, in the same location for over 40 years.
Numerous awards, accolades, and countless long-time satisfied lovers of Maryland seafood has made the name synonymous with quality.
